How to Change Background Color in Notion
Notion is an all-in-one workspace app that you can use for writing, note-taking, CRM, manage your work and life. It offers many customization options that you can try.
Notion also allows you to change your background color while writing on it.
In this tutorial, we will see how you can change your background color in Notion.
Method 1: Short way
There are multiple ways you can add background color in Notion. Here is a short way.
1: Select some word in the block
Select some or all text that you want to add text or background color.
2: Click on the “color” option
Then after that, you will see a bar appear, and then look for a color option. Click on the color option and you will find text color and background color to add to the text.
3: Apply the background or text color you want
Apply the color you want to add to your text and background according to your choice. Like in this example, I have added a yellow background with a red text color(Select all texts for text color).
Optional: Using the “/” command
The coolest and easiest way is to use the “/” (Splash) command, using this you can add background color much faster. You just need to type anywhere in the block you want to add (It is better to add the beginning or end of the para).

Method 2: Long Way
1. Open the page you want to change the background color
First, you need to open the page you want to change the background color or text color.
2. Hover over the block you want to change the color
Then, hover on the text block and you will see six dots and you need to click this.
3. Click on the six-dot icon to open a menu
Click on the six-dot icon to open the menu where you will find many options to customize the block.
4. Click on the “Color” option
Then you will see a color option, click on it and you will see many colors there to add to your background and text.
5. Apply the background or text color you want.
