How to Customize Your Notion Page Layout
Notion is a highly customizable and powerful tool that you can blend in with your choice. You can now customize your page layout.
You can hide the database properties, customize them according to your choice, and many more things.
This guide will show how you can customize your Notion page according to your choice and need.
1. Go to any Notion page
First, go to any page in your Notion app to create a custom layout for your pages. I have taken a random page to show you here. You can reset the layout to default if you change your mind. More on that later in the article.
2. Click on “Customize layout” from the sidebar
After you go to the page, you can open the sidebar and you will find an option to “Customize layout”, you can click on it to go to the layout setting.
The same thing is also present in the session where you add your icons and cover. You can click on “Customize layout” from there.
3. Customize the layout according to your choice
After you click on the “Customize layout”, it will open a settings layout where you can customize the page.
You can add to hide properties from showing or clean your page then you can move the properties group to “Panel”. It will hide it from the page but you can find it on the sidebar.
You can add new properties to the page using the plus icon. You can also add properties to the panels.
Try it yourself, experiment with it, and see what works for you.
You can also minimize the inline comments and page discussions in the page settings. Also, you can hide the properties icon to be cleaner.
In the properties group, you can add sections to group the properties inside.
4. Click on “Apply to all pages” to save the page layout
After you have customized your page layout according to your needs and style, it’s time to apply to pages.
Click on the “apply to all pages” to apply to all pages inside Notion.
If you dont want to save it or get back to the original page layout then you can click on the dropdown and you will see a reset option, click on it and it will reset the page layout back to the original. This won’t delete any properties you have inside Notion.
Now after you save the page layout, you will able to see the properties you have hidden on the panel icon on the page.
