How to Create and Delete a Teamspace in Notion
In Notion, team space is a like team area in an office. You can create a teamspace in the workspace to specify the teams you are working with.
You can create teamspace for different teams like marketing, sales, engineering, legal, and more. These team spaces will be in a single workspace.
You can think of it like; workspace is your office and teamspaces are your different team areas in the same office.
In this tutorial, we will see how you can create and delete a teamspace in Notion.
Create a teamspace in Notion
1. Click on “Settings & members” from the sidebar
To create a teamspace in Notion, first, you need to go to settings by clicking on “settings & members” from the sidebar.
2. Select “Teamspaces” and Click on “New Teamspace”
After that then click on “teamspace” and you will see a button to create a new teamspace, click on it.
3. Set the name, logo and details
After that set the name, logo, and details to the teamspace to add some extra context to the teamspace.
4. Set the permission level and create the teamspace
Then set the permission level of the teamspace. This is important for whether you want to show or hide it from your team.
If you want to make a private teamspace and the members of the teamspace are aware of it, then you need to have a business plan. Select the appropriate permission and create the teamspace.
Delete a teamspace in Notion
1. Click on “Settings & members” from the sidebar
To delete a teamspace, first need to go to “settings & members” from the sidebar.
2. Click on “Teamspaces” and then on the “…” icon next to the teamspace you want to delete
Then click on the “teamspaces” from the sidebar and you will able to see all the teamspace you have in the workspace. We will delete the “marketing team” teamspace.
Note: You can’t delete a teamspace, instead you can archive a teamspace and it will disappear from your workspace. When you want you can unarchive it.
3. Archive the teamspace
After that click on the “…” icon and select “archive teamspace” and a popup will appear to confirm it and archive the teamspace.
Restore deleted Notion teamspace
If you want to restore an archived teamspace, you can easily do it.
First, select the “archived” option from the dropdown and it will show all the archived teamspaces.
Choose the teamspace you want to restore, click on the “…” icon, and select “Restore teamspace”. This will let you restore your archived teamspace.
How to leave a teamspace in Notion
You can leave a teamspace, which you have joined. You just need to go to the teamspace and click on “…” and you will find the “leave teamspace” option click on it and you will able to leave the teamspace.
