How to Add Sub-Page in Notion
Notion is very useful when it comes to organizing your pages and making the content easier to access and navigate.
You can create a hierarchical structure of your pages by adding sub-pages to the primary page.
This will help you to add pages in a category, bucket them, and use them clutter-free.
Here is how you can create sub-pages inside Notion.
1. Create a Parent Page
A subpage is a page inside a page. If you want to create a subpage then you need to create a parent page or choose a page to act as a parent page. For this tutorial, I will create a new page as a parent page called “Page 1”.
2. Click on “+” icon to create a sub-page
After you have created a parent page, then you can click on “+” on the sidebar of the parent page to create a sub-page.
For this example, we will create a subpage named “Page 2” and the breadcrumb will become “Page 1 / Page 2”.
Alt: Type “/page” inside a page to create a sub-page
There is another way of creating a subpage and it’s the easy way. When you have a lot of pages you dont have to look for the parent page in the sidebar.
You can use a command to create a subpage. Type “/page” to create a subpage inside the parent page.
For this example, I will create another page inside “page 2” and name it “page 3.” The page breadcrumb structure will be “page 1 / page 2 / page 3.”
That means there is a parent page—page 1 inside it has a subpage—page 2 and inside it also has a subpage—page 3.
3. Rearrange your pages
You can rearrange all your pages like you can bring inside or outside of a page, and that’s the beauty of Notion. It would have a folder structure, but it has a page structure where you can arrange or rearrange all your pages inside Notion.
