How to Hide Completed Tasks in Notion

Notion is a powerful task management tool for teams and professionals. You can create projects, tasks, and sub-tasks, assign them to the team, set deadlines, and categorize them.

It offers lots of functionality and flexibility to use it for your projects.

Did you know? You can hide your completed tasks from your tasks database.

It’s easy and you will love it. In this tutorial, we will see how you can hide completed tasks in the notion database.

1. Create a database or choose an existing one

If you are starting from scratch then first you need to create a database and add the tasks. For this tutorial. here I have added three tasks/pages.

2. Add Checkbox property

Then add a checkbox property. To add a checkbox property click on the “+” icon in the header of the database and click on the checkbox option.

3. Create a new table view and name it “Archive”

Then create a new table view and name it “Archive”, you can name it as you like.

4. Add a filter: “Checkbox: Checked”

Then click on the filter, and select the checkbox option. Then click on the “checked” option.

This will let you add a filter to the archive, and only show the pages that the checkbox is checked.

5. Go to the main table, click on the checkbox tick, and see the archive table.

Then go to the main table which we created earlier. To see if this is working or not, click on checkbox of a page and then see it on the archive table.

6. Hide the checked tasks from the main table with a filter

Then to hide the checked tasks from the main table, you will create a filter like you have created earlier. Here you have to select the “checkbox: Unchecked”.

This filter will allow you to show only the unchecked pages in the database. When you want to see the checked pages then you can visit the archive table.
